Basic Work Period. The basic work period for bargaining unit employees, with due allowance for authorized holidays and leaves of absence with pay, including but not limited to, paid compensatory time off, paid annual leave, paid sick leave, paid bereavement time, shall be one hundred and sixty (160) hours in a twenty-eight (28) consecutive day period.

Basic Work Period. 21 A. The work period for all employees covered by this Agreement, except as 22 otherwise designated by the Chief of Police or as provided for in 32.1, 23 shall consist of a period of fourteen (14) consecutive days. The normal 24 workday for Operations personnel who are assigned to Patrol functions 25 within the Operations Bureau, whose primary function is to respond to 26 calls for service, shall be a ten (10) or twelve (12) hour shift in a twenty- 27 four (24) hour period. 28 The parties agree that Operations personnel who are assigned to Patrol 29 functions within the Operations Bureau, whose primary function is to 30 respond to calls for service, will continue the current weekday rotation of 31 the twelve (12) hour shift format until such time as staffing is sufficient to 1 implement a ten (10) hour shift format. The decision to implement the ten 2 (10) hour format, or to return to a twelve (12) hour format may only be 3 effected in accordance with provisions of 11.2.B. below.
Basic Work Period. The basic work period shall be eighty (80) hours to be worked during a period of two (2) weeks (fourteen (14) consecutive days). The regular workday will be eight (8) hours. A Nurse required to work in excess of eighty (80) hours during said two (2) week period or in excess of eight (8) hours in any workday shall be paid at one and one‐half (1‐1/2) times the Nurse’s regular rate of pay for all excess time so worked. Overtime payments shall not be duplicated.
Basic Work Period. Departmental management shall establish the basic work period and hours best suited to meet the needs of the department and provide service to the community. Pursuant to the FLSA’s 7k exemption, established under 29 USC’s 207(k), the basic work period for employees assigned to twelve-hour shifts will be fourteen (14) consecutive days, commencing on a Tuesday at 12 o’clock midnight and ending two weeks later on a Monday at 11:59 PM. Employees assigned to twelve- hour shifts will be compensated at the overtimerate of one and one-half time their regular rate of pay for each hour worked in excess of eighty-four (84) hours in the work period. For all other employees, the work period shall consist of seven consecutive days, commencing on Tuesday at 12 o'clock midnight and ending the following Monday at 11:59 PM. Overtime will be compensated for each hour worked in excess of forty (40) hours in the work period. Work hours shall include all time an employee is required to be on duty or on the Employer's premises, or at a prescribed workplace, including court attendance and depositions, provided time spent in attendance at educational courses, meetings, or seminars shall not be considered work hours unless said educational time is mandated by the Chief of PoliceChief of Police.
Basic Work Period. The basic work period for registered nurses, practical nurses, nurse’s aides, mental health workers and food service employees assigned to or working in the Department of Hospitals and the Department of Mental Health, and all employees in the BCI and Communications Division in the Sheriff’s Department, except for clerical personnel, and employees engaged in the engineering, maintenance and repair, inspection, pollution control and equipment operation and/or the direct supervision thereof in the Sewer District shall be eighty (80) hours in a fourteen (14) day period.
Basic Work Period. The Employer has the right to change the employee(s) basic work periods, schedules and shifts by providing thirty (30) calendar days’ written notice to the affected employee(s) except in the event of any emergency in which case as much notice as is practicable will be provided.
