Peer Evaluations a. Peer evaluations shall be conducted by a faculty member from the candidate’s department, chosen by the faculty member with the approval of the chairperson. The faculty member to be evaluated and the faculty member to do the evaluation shall agree upon a time for the evaluation. Within one week of the evaluation, the evaluator shall submit a written report to the faculty member evaluated and the Department Chairperson. If the faculty member evaluated wishes, s/he may append a written response to the report before placing it in his/her record file.

Peer Evaluations. A probationary faculty member may, during any academic year solicit three confidential peer evaluations. The peer evaluations shall be sought from tenured faculty members mutually agreed upon by the probationary faculty member and the appropriate Academic Xxxx or administrative designee. The participation of tenured faculty in peer evaluations shall be voluntary. Peer evaluations shall be sent to the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs not later than 90 days prior to the end of the academic year.
Peer Evaluations. Evaluative materials, or summaries thereof, prepared by peer(s) as part of a regular evaluation system, may be placed in an evaluation file when signed by the evaluator or a representative of a peer committee, with a copy provided to the employee. However, where specific job descriptions exist, they should be reviewed by the faculty member’s peers and administrator performing the evaluations and used where appropriate in their assessment of the faculty member’s performance.
