HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME. 12.01 The following paragraphs and sections are intended to define the normal hours of work and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week, or of days of work per week.

When unable to attend, the Owner, or designate must be notified, as soon as it is reasonably possible prior to the commencement of the scheduled shift of the employee, giving the reason why the employee is unable to attend, when he expects to return to work and how the Owner or designate can call him relative to his absence.
