Xxxxxx Care definition

Xxxxxx Care means the DCBS program which provides temporary care for children placed in the custody of the Commonwealth who are waiting for permanent homes. FTE means full-time equivalent for an employee, based on forty (40) hours worked per week. Grievance means the definition established in 42 CFR 438.400.
Xxxxxx Care means an arrangement whereby an Employee, as primary carer, assumes long-term responsibility for a child:

More Definitions of Xxxxxx Care

Xxxxxx Care. Pursuant to 45 C.F.R. §1355.20, a “24-hour substitute care for children placed away from their parents or guardians and for whom the State agency has placement and care responsibility.” Transfer of the legal custody of the child is not a component when determining if a child is considered to be in xxxxxx care. The federal definition is predicated upon the child being placed outside of the home and with an individual who has “placement and care” responsibility for the child. The term “placement and care” means that the Local Department of Social Services (LDSS) is legally accountable for the day-to-day care and protection of the child through either a court order or a voluntary placement agreement. If a child is placed outside of the home and LDSS is the case manager with placement and care responsibility, then the federal government considers the child to be in xxxxxx care. Pursuant to the Affordable Care Act, Virginia must provide Medicaid coverage to additional xxxxxx care individuals (formerly Title IV-E or non-Title IV-E) when the following conditions occur: the individual was under the responsibility of a Virginia-based xxxxxx care agency and receiving Medicaid until discharge from xxxxxx care upon turning twenty-one (21) years or older, the individual is not eligible for Medicaid in another mandatory Medicaid covered group, and the individual is under age 26 years. The Xxxxxx Care population is not eligible to be enrolled in FAMIS.
Xxxxxx Care has the same meaning as defined by 45 CFR § 1355.20, which is “24-hour substitute care for children placed away from their parents or guardians and for whom the Title IV-E agency has placement and care responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, placements in xxxxxx family homes, xxxxxx homes of relatives, group homes, emergency shelters, residential facilities, child care institutions, and preadoptive homes. A child is in xxxxxx care in accordance with this definition regardless of whether the xxxxxx care facility is licensed and payments are made by the State, Tribal or local agency for the care of the child, whether adoption subsidy payments are being made prior to the finalization of an adoption, or whether there is Federal matching of any payments that are made.”
Xxxxxx Care means placement of a child outside the child's parental home under the department's supervision by a court of competent jurisdiction.
Xxxxxx Care means the substitute care provided for a child who is removed by court order or a voluntary placement agreement from his or her home.
Xxxxxx Care means 24-hour substitute care for children placed away from their parents or guardians and for whom the Karuk Tribe has placement and care responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, placements in xxxxxx homes approved or licensed by the Tribe for a home on or near its reservation, or a home approved by another tribe on or near its respective reservation5, a State/county licensed xxxxxx family home or small family home, a family home certified by a State licensed xxxxxx family agency, a State/county approved relative or non-related extended family xxxxxx home, or a state licensed group home for children.
Xxxxxx Care. ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS" means payments made for administration of the Title IV-E xxxxxx care program.6
