Participating School District means a local school district or charter school that is approved by the division based on the financial requirements of Subsection (6) to participate in the pilot program.

All applications submitted to Blue Cross of Idaho (BCI) by the Participating School District now or in the future, will be for Eligible Employees or Eligible Dependents only.
Eligible Retiree is defined as: A retired employee who was employed by a Participating School District but who has permanently separated from public school employment in accordance with Idaho Code Title 59, Chapter 13.
The date the retiree becomes eligible for coverage in the Statewide School Retiree Program is on the first day of retirement in accordance with Idaho Code Title 59, Chapter 13, or the day a school district becomes a Participating School District, whichever is later.
