New Child definition

New Child means a minor child for whom leave is taken for the purposes of Bonding within twelve months of the child's birth or placement with the employee or the employee's Spouse or Domestic Partner.
New Child means a minor child for whom leave is taken for purposes of bonding within 12-months of the child’s birth or placement with the claimant or the claimant’s spouse or domestic partner.

Thereafter, We may require further proof of Your Disabled Child’s status, but not more often than annually. Costs associated with such proof will be Your responsibility.

  • Qualifying child means an individual who:

  • Dependent child means a child residing in an individual’s household who may legally be claimed as a dependent on the federal income tax of such individual.

A child who was “a previously Looked After Child” means a child who after being Looked After became subject to an Adoption Order under Section 46 of the Adoption and Children Act 2002, a Residence Order under Section 8 of the Children Act 1989 or Special Guardianship Order under Section 14A of the Children Act 1989.

  • Preschool age child means a child age three through five not yet attending kindergarten. If a child is older than age five and not attending kindergarten or a higher grade, OCCL considers that child in the preschool-age group.

  • Sibling means each of two (2) or more children having a parent in common by blood, adoption, marriage, or foster care.
