Built-Up Area definition

Built-Up Area and/or “Covered Area” in relation to a Flat shall mean the floor area of that Flat including the area of balconies and terraces, if any attached thereto, and also the thickness of the walls (external or internal) and the columns and pillars therein Provided That if any wall, column or pillar be common between two Flats, then one-half of the area under such wall column or pillar shall be included in the built-up area of each such Flat.

Built-Up Area means the sum of area of the Apartment or Flat. It shall include area encompassed within the walls of Apartment or Flat, all balconies, whether covered or un-covered, and thickness of wall. In case there be a common wall only 50% of thickness of such wall shall be taken in consideration for calculating the built-up area;

Built-Up Area means the area covered by a building on all floors including cantilevered portion, if any, but excepting the areas excluded specifically under these Regulations.

Examples of Built-Up Area in a sentence

• The total price payable for the final Super Built-Up Area shall be recalculated upon confirmation by the L&DO/MoHUA.

• The Maintenance Charge and all other charges that the Purchaser will be required to pay will be calculated on the Super Built-Up Area of the Unit of the Purchaser mentioned in Schedule-S.

• The lease premium at the rate of Lease Premium Per Square Foot for the Maximum Permissible Built-Up Area (“ Lease Premium”).

• A common area maintenance cost per square metre of Maximum Permissible Built-Up Area of the Project on a monthly basis commencing from the COD until the expiry of the Term or the termination of the Agreement, whichever is earlier (the “ Common Area Maintenance Charge”).

• Financial Proposal: The Financial Proposal shall quote an amount in INR per square foot of Maximum Permissible Built-Up Area (“ Lease Premium Per Square Foot”).

More Definitions of Built-Up Area

Built-Up Area means the area of the unit to be allotted and shall include, inter alia the area of covered balcony attached thereto and also thickness of the outer walls, internal walls columns pillars therein Provided That if any wall column or pillar being common between two units then half of the area under such wall, column or pillar shall be included in each such unit to be certified by the Architects.

Built-Up Area means any area with a substantial portion covered by industrial, commercial or residential buildings.

Built-Up Area means the sum of area of the Apartment or Flat. It shall include area encompassed within the walls of Apartment or Flat, all balconies, whether covered or un-covered, and thickness of wall. In case there be a common wall only 50% of thickness of such wall shall be taken in consideration for calculating the built up area.

Built-Up Area shall have the meaning as set out in SCDA, and if not defined in SCDA then shall mean the (a) total constructed area under roof on all floors (including underground floors) on a given piece of land in terms of local building bye laws of the Site; or (b) in the case of development of air space over any existing structure or proposed Station Development or Redevelopment Assets, the total constructed area excluding the total constructed area of the existing structure, which shall, in each case, include carpet area, thickness of walls, balconies, corridors and passages but shall not include:

Built-Up Area in relation to an Apartment shall mean the plinth area of that Apartment (including the area of balconies and servants quarter, if any, appurtenant thereto) and also the thickness of the walls (external and internal), the columns and pillars therein;

Built-Up Area and/or “Covered Area” in relation to an Apartment shall mean the floor area of that Apartment including the area of balconies and terraces, if any attached thereto, and also the thickness of the walls (external or internal) and the columns and pillars therein Provided That if any wall, column or pillar be common between two Apartments, then one-half of the area under such wall column or pillar shall be included in the built-up area of each such Apartment.

Built-Up Area means and include the aggregate of the Carpet Area, Balcony Area and the External Wall/Column Area.
