Appeals section definition

Appeals section means the unit within the department of human services that receives appeal requests, certifies requests for hearing, and issues final appeal decisions.
Appeals section means the section within DES where Appeals Referees conduct quasi-judicial administrative evidentiary hearings and make decisions in contested cases for unemployment insurance benefits. The Appeals Section also consists of support staff that assists Appeals Referees.
Appeals section means the director’s designee who is charged with administering the department’s appeals.
