VACATIONS WITH PAY. 12.01 Employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to the following vacations with pay.
VACATIONS WITH PAY. The Union acknowledges that the Company has the right to schedule vacations at any time during the year. However, a sincere effort will be made to grant vacations at the time or times wanted by the employee, giving longer service employees preference. Vacations of more than 2 weeks during July and August will not necessarily be scheduled consecutively. Should the Company elect to close the plant for a one or two week vacation period, all eligible employees will take vacations at that time provided their services are not required for particular work. Employees may use weeks of vacation in number of fraction of days. Employees making such requests will give reasonable notice where practicable. It is understood that the existing policies apply, i.e. no more than four employees absent on vacation at one time. The vacation list will be posted no later than February to allow all employees to request an initial two weeks maximum vacation period. This is to be completed by the second Friday in February. Management will review and where necessary to maintain enough trained employees or keep the number of employees on vacation to no more than four will reschedule vacations with seniority prevailing.
