Recognized Teaching Experience. Previous teaching experience with this Board or its predecessor Boards, documented by the appropriate Board will be honoured provided it was for a long-term occasional assignment. For short-term work assignments since January 1, 1991 the total days worked will be credited as follows: 20 days or more = 1 grid step 80 days or more = 2 grid step 10 5 40 days or more = 1 grid step 100 days or more = 1 grid step 5 2 60 days or more = 3 grid step 120 days or more = 3 grid step 10 5 140 days or more = 7 grid step 10 160 days or more = 4 grid step 5 180 days or more = 9 grid step 10 190 days or more = full grid step All days accumulated that are less than a full 1/10 step shall be carried forward to the following school year for credit.

Recognized Teaching Experience. 11.01 Previous contract teaching experience in Ontario or equivalent as well as previous occasional teaching experience recognized by the predecessor Boards shall be recognized as teaching experience for the purpose of placing an Extended Occasional Teacher on the Secondary Teachers' Salary Grid.
Recognized Teaching Experience. (a) Previous contract teaching experience in Ontario or its equivalent elsewhere as well as previous occasional teaching experience recognized by the predecessor Boards in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreements, shall be recognized as teaching experience for the purpose of placing a teacher on the salary grid.
Recognized Teaching Experience. Effective September 1, 1997, previous teaching experience in the Continuing Education Program (Adult Day School, Night School, Summer School, and Offsite Credit Programming) for the Simcoe County District School Board shall be recognized as teaching experience for the purpose of placing a teacher on the Continuing Education TeachersSalary Grid as set out in Article 14.03(a). Such experience shall be calculated on the basis of teaching one (1) credit being equal to 0.17 of one (1) year. Placement on the salary schedule shall be determined annually for such teachers as of September 1, by the number of prorated years of service. Movement to the next year on the salary schedule shall occur when a number of at least 0.5 above the current position on the salary schedule is calculated.
Recognized Teaching Experience. L16:01 a) The Board shall credit teaching experience for Long-Term assignments or contract teaching; such credit shall include one-tenth (1/10) of a year for each twenty (20) days of teaching in any combination of Long-Term Occasional Teaching assignments, rounded to the nearest one-tenth (1/10). To receive such experience credits from outside the Board, the Occasional Teacher shall provide a statement on official letterhead from the Board or Private School showing the dates and number of days in each assignment.

Any extended occasional teaching experience recognized by the predecessor Boards prior to September shall also be recognized. Experience calculated shall be added to an Occasional Teacher's previous experience and shall be effective as of the next school year. Teaching experience shall be calculated on the basis of one (1) month equals year and shall be recorded each September 1st. An Occasional must be employed for at least one-half of the available school days in a given month to gain credit for a full month's teaching experience for that month. In addition to Section extended occasional teaching experience since April with this Board and its predecessor boards shall be recognized as teaching experience for the purpose of placing an extended Occasional Teacher on the Elementary Teachers' Salary Grid. Experience calculated shall be added to an Occasional Teacher's previous experience and shall be effective as of the next school year. Extended occasional teaching experience accumulated ratification of this shall be calculated on the basis of days equal one year and shall be recorded each September 1st. Teaching experience under Sections and shall be cumulative from year to year and shall be calculated as follows:
