Recognition of Seniority. Both parties recognize:
Recognition of Seniority. Both parties recognize the principle of promotion within the service of the Employer and that job opportunity should increase in proportion to length of service.

Recognition of Seniority. (a) Both Parties recognize that job security shall increase in proportion to the length of service.
Recognition of Seniority. The Health Authorities will recognize seniority that was attained at the previous employer for successful applicants for regular positions where the previous employer was unionized with one of the constituent unions with the Nurses’ Bargaining Association.
Recognition of Seniority. Effective date of signing, Employees entering the bargaining unit due to amalgamations and/or reorganizations shall be credited for all seniority from the date the Employee last entered the service of the Employer(s).
Recognition of Seniority. Both parties recognize the principle of promotion within the service of the Employer; that job opportunity should increase in proportion to length of service and ability based on performance. Therefore, in making an appointment under Article 13.01 above, seniority, qualifications for the position available, health, and ability shall be the factors considered in choosing the successful candidate. If these factors are relatively equal then the candidate with greater seniority shall be appointed to the vacancy. The Employer will first determine whether an internal applicant will be appointed to the vacancy before evaluating the application of an external candidate. The Employer will furthermore advise an unsuccessful, internal candidate of its decision and the reasons for such decisions within three (3) weeks.
Recognition of Seniority. The parties recognize that job opportunities and security shall increase in proportion to length of service, therefore, vacancies and new positions including promotions and staff transfers shall be filled on the basis of seniority, with the Employer, provided the senior applicant possesses the qualifications and skills to perform the job.
Recognition of Seniority. When an external applicant is successful for a regular position and the previous Employer was unionized by BCNU the Employer will recognize the employee’s previous seniority.
