PROVISIONS OF LAW AND SEPARABILITY. This MOU is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws, the City Charter, City ordinances, and any lawful rules and regulations enacted by the Civil Service Commission, the XXX, or similar independent commissions of the City. If any article, part, or provision of this MOU is in conflict or inconsistent with such applicable provisions of Federal, State, local law, or the City Charter, or is otherwise held to be invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, the parties agree to meet promptly to expeditiously renegotiate the affected article, part, or provision and the remainder of this MOU shall not be affected thereby.
