Common use of PROVISIONS OF LAW AND SEPARABILITY Clause in Contracts

PROVISIONS OF LAW AND SEPARABILITY. The parties understand and agree that this MOU is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws, City ordinances and regulations, the Charter of the City of Los Angeles, and any lawful rules and regulations enacted by the City's Civil Service Commission, XXX, or similar independent Commissions of the City. If any article, part, or provision of this MOU is in conflict or inconsistent with such applicable provisions of Federal, State, or local law or regulations, or is otherwise held to be invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, such Article, part or provisions shall be suspended and superseded by such applicable laws or regulations and the remainder of this MOU shall not be affected thereby. If any term or provision of this MOU is found to be in conflict with any City, State, or Federal law, the parties to this MOU will meet and confer as soon as possible thereafter to consider any revisions or amendments thereto that may be required.
