Common use of PROGRESS OF THE WORK Clause in Contracts

PROGRESS OF THE WORK. A. Contractor shall perform all work during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday unless otherwise specified in the Special Provisions or authorized by the City in writing. If the Contractor wishes to work during any other hours or on weekends, written permission must be received from the City. The request must be received at least two (2) working days in advance of any work. No work will be allowed on legal holidays except in the case of an emergency. A listing of holidays observed by City is on file in the office of the Administrator. If Contractor requests overtime work in which the City will incur costs, Contractor shall be responsible for payment of the City’s costs incurred in connection with the overtime work.
