Common use of Pregnancy Leave Clause in Contracts

Pregnancy Leave. (a) An employee who is pregnant shall be entitled, upon application, to pregnancy leave and parental leave immediately thereafter. Pregnancy leave shall be granted for seventeen (17) weeks as provided in the Employment Standards Act, and may begin no earlier than seventeen (17) weeks before the expected birth date.
