Oral Discussion. (a) An employee having a grievance may, within 15 days following the occurrence of the event giving rise to the grievance, present the grievance orally, for informal discussion, to the management representative who has the authority to adjust the grievance, or may file a written grievance at Step 1.

Oral Discussion. The Step 1 Reviewer shall meet with Grievant, Grievant’s Representative (if any) and Grievant’s supervisor to discuss the grievance and possible resolution. This meeting shall be held within eleven (11) days following receipt of the grievance. The Grievant shall have the right to present any evidence in support of the grievance at this meeting.
Oral Discussion. Within ten (10) working days of the occurrence which gave rise to the grievance, or within ten (10) working days after the employee becomes aware of the situation giving rise to the grievance, the employee and/or the Guild representative (on behalf of the employee), shall discuss the grievance with a designated member of management. The member of management shall notify the employee of his/her decision on the grievance or provide a reason for a delay in the response within five (5) working days after the discussion with the employee, or the grievance shall be deemed denied. The employee may elect to bypass Step 1, and proceed directly to Step 2 within ten (10) working days.
Oral Discussion. The employee first shall discuss his grievance with the Xxxxxxx or Union Representative and if the Xxxxxxx considers the grievance to be valid then the employee and the Xxxxxxx will contact the employee's Program Manager and will attempt to effect a settlement of the complaint. To timely initiate the grievance process, this contact must occur within ten (10) work days from the first occurrence on which the grievance is based or when it was first discovered by the affected employee or Union Representative. This procedure, however, will not prevent an employee from contacting his supervisor directly if he so chooses. If the purpose of the employee's contacting his supervisor is to adjust the grievance, the Xxxxxxx shall be given an opportunity to be present and such adjustment shall be in conformity with this Agreement.

The employee or Guild shall be permitted to initiate the grievance at the Step 2 level if the decision that gave rise to the grievance was made by a management official above the immediate supervisor.

The Oral Step representative shall communicate a decision to the grievant and the grievant’s representative, if any, within 10 days following the date the grievance is received at the Oral Step.

Oral Discussion. The employee should first discuss his grievance with the supervisor of his section. If the supervisor, in collaboration with the Shop Xxxxxxx, considers the grievance to be valid, then the employee and the Xxxxxxx will contact the Manager (the Company) and attempt to settle the dispute at that time. An Employee may contact the company directly if he so chooses. If the purpose of the employees’ contacting the company is to adjust the grievance, the Xxxxxxx shall be given the opportunity to be present, and such adjustment shall be in conformity with this agreement. Grievances shall be brought to the Company within ten (10) working days of when the employee had knowledge of the grievance.
Oral Discussion. Informal Step In the event a grievant believes there is a basis for a grievance, the grievant shall first discuss the issue with the immediate supervisor, or with the administrator who took the action(s) on which the grievance is based. This shall be done within thirty (30) calendar days of the occurrence, or within thirty (30) calendar days of the date when the grievant should reasonably have known of the occurrence which gives rise to the grievance, whichever is later. Association representation may attend and/or speak on behalf of the grievant. Every effort should be made to resolve the grievance at this level in an informal manner. Failure of the parties to resolve the grievance within ten (10) work days of the informal discussion will allow the grievant to move the grievance to Step 2 of the grievance process.
Oral Discussion. A grievance must be first discussed orally between the grievant, with or without the building xxxxxxx, and the supervisor responsible for the grievance. If they are not able to resolve the grievance, it must be reduced to writing, stating the section of the Agreement allegedly violated and the relief sought. Such written grievance must be sub- mitted to the Director of Cedarhurst within fifteen (15) school days after the grievance occurred or after the teacher should reasonably have known of the facts causing the grievance.
