Optional Group TFSA. An Employee may be exempted from medical and dental plans, if they can show proof of equivalent coverage. Should the Employee cease to benefit from this coverage, the Employee’s participation in the University plans is obligatory. In the event of any absence related to illness, the Employee must notify their Principal Investigator or Immediate Supervisor as soon as possible. For the pension plan enrolment on January 1st of the year following the calendar year in which the Employee has worked a minimum of seven hundred (700) hours at the University or their remuneration equals at least thirty-five percent (35%) of the year’s maximum pensionable earnings as per Retraite Québec and amended from time to time.
