Common use of In writing Clause in Contracts

In writing. All requests for leave of absence under this Article shall be in writing to the Department Manager, or her designate, in as far advance as practicable and in any event, subject to leave of absence requests for personal emergencies, no fewer than thirty (30) calendar days prior to commencement of the requested leave of absence. The Employer agrees to reply to such requests in writing within seven (7) working days, or whenever practicable.
