Illness Pay. 8.1 If you are unavoidably absent from work due to illness, injury or other incapacity, you will report this fact to the Company before 12 noon, where practicable, on the first day of absence and thereafter in accordance with the self-certification and Statutory Sick Pay Regulations a copy of which is available for inspection from the Personnel Department.

Illness Pay. Employees who are absent from work due to illness are entitled to full pay for a period of up to 3 months, including the employer liability period. In enterprises where the parties have agreed to up to 12 months of sick pay, this arrangement is maintained. The employee must have assumed their post and must have worked for no less than four weeks after their appointment before they qualify for this right. The Norwegian National Insurance Scheme's requirements concerning qualification time and benefit entitlement must be met. When an employee has been at work for an uninterrupted period of no less than six month after returning from 12 months of illness leave, the employee is once more entitled to sick pay for a period of up to 3 months. An employee who, over the course of the previous two years, has been on paid illness leave for a total of 15 months, is not entitled to illness pay until they have once more worked for an uninterrupted period of at least 6 months. An employee who, due to illness, is unable to perform their regular work, but who is able to perform other, equivalent work, may be instructed to perform such work in the same workplace, while retaining their normal salary.
Illness Pay. Illness pay will be used in 12-hour increments. If, on the first day ill, an employee is not entitled to payment, he/she will be charged with eight hours of illness without pay (Code 1N) and four hours of continued illness (Code 1F) for a total of four hours of pay. If, on the first day ill, an employee is entitled to payment, he/she will be charged with eight hours earned pay (Code 1P) and four hours continued illness (Code 1F) for a total of 12 hours pay. A shift adjustment (SA2) will be used to offset unearned pay.
Illness Pay. Employees unable to perform regular work or available light duty due to illness or injury will receive pay per the following schedule: Years of Service Weeks at Full Pay (40 Hours) Weeks at Half Pay (20 Hours)

  • Sick Pay 23.1 When a seafarer is landed at any port because of sickness or injury, a pro rata payment of their basic wages plus guaranteed or, in the case of officers, fixed overtime, shall continue until they have been repatriated at the Company’s expense as specified in Article 20.
