HEALTH AND SAFETY MEETINGS. 10.1 OHS Act requires that Health and Safety Committees be established in case where employee count exceeds 20 onsite, however due to the duration and the nature of the scope of work executed by the contractors and stakeholders enforces that regardless of employees at the airports. The Mandatary shall establish his / her own health and safety committee(s) and ensure that his / her employees, being the committee members, hold health and safety representatives to attend the Employer’s health and safety committee meetings on monthly basis.

HEALTH AND SAFETY MEETINGS. 10.1 If required in terms of the OHS Act, the Mandatary shall establish his own health and safety committee(s) and ensure that his employees, being the committee members, provide health and safety representatives to attend the Employer’s health and safety committee meetings.
HEALTH AND SAFETY MEETINGS. Representatives of the Union and the City, not to exceed two (2) representatives from each, shall meet at mutually agreed upon times to discuss matters of mutual concern relating to issues of health and safety.
HEALTH AND SAFETY MEETINGS. The Company shall schedule and pay for yearly health and safety meetings, including Drug Free Workplace and safety and health training, during the wintertime months and may require all employees to attend such meeting on specific dates and times as it may so schedule in its discretion. The Company shall schedule no less than two (2) such meetings per year and shall provide at least two (2) weeks advance written notice to all employees (whether active or on layoff) of all the scheduled dates of such meetings. Each employee will be scheduled by the Company to attend meetings at a specific time and date. If the employee is unavailable or unable to attend at that scheduled time, he may reschedule his attendance to the other available date(s) with the Company. Employees will be paid at their normal hourly rate for such meetings. Employees on layoff at the time who fail to attend such meetings will not be called back from layoff until they have attended equivalent training and obtained and presented to the Company appropriate certification of such at their own expense and on their own time. For active employees who are not on layoff and who fail to attend such company-scheduled meetings to maintain their job status, they must attend equivalent training and obtain and present to the Company appropriate certification of such on or before April 1 of each year or be subject to a suspension of their employment until such training and certification is obtained at their own expense and presented to the Company.
HEALTH AND SAFETY MEETINGS. Contractor shall ensure efficient and effective HS communication and consultation with all Personnel involved in the Work. This includes but is not limited to toolbox meetings prior to the start of the Work, worksite HS meetings on a regular basis with all parties involved (including Subcontractors, the Engineer and third parties). It may also comprise other forms of communication. Contractor shall ensure that supervision, directly in charge of construction activities, fully brief and discuss with Personnel at HS Tool Box Talks at the start of each work day and prior to commencing new activities. These talks shall be conducted in a language understood by the workforce. A checklist shall be utilised for this purpose. At a minimum it shall include the following;

The Contractor shall ensure that the health and safety committees perform the functions assigned to them as contemplated in Section 20 of OHSA.

HEALTH AND SAFETY MEETINGS. 17.1 Any Employee who is required to attend Workplace Health and Safety Committee and/or Board of Management meetings in the capacity of Employee representative shall, if such meetings are held outside the ordinary hours of work, be entitled to receive payment at the Base Rate and any shift or weekend penalty rate (or casual loading in the case of a casual Employee) that would be applicable to ordinary hours for such attendance for the actual time spent in attendance at such meetings. Such time spent in attendance shall not be viewed as overtime for the purposes of this Agreement subject to subclause 17.2.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY 16.01 The Employer, Union and the employees shall comply with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act where and when applicable. The Employer shall provide working conditions at all times which are not prejudicial to the health or efficiency of the workers. Employees are required to report to their Employer any unsafe work conditions, or violation of any safe work policies or procedures established by the Employer, or any violation of relevant safe work legislation.

  • Health and Safety Committee Where required a committee will be formed and will meet where required by the Employer’s safety policies and by statute.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union agree to cooperate in the promotion of safe working conditions, the prevention of accidents, the prevention of workplace injuries and the promotion of safe workplace practices.

  • Health and Safety Plan 5. Xxxxxxx shall prepare and submit under separate cover from the Work Plan, a Health and Safety Plan consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. The Health and Safety Plan shall be submitted to the Department in the form of one electronic copy on compact disk (in .pdf format). Xxxxxxx agrees that the Health and Safety Plan is submitted to the Department only for informational purposes. The Department expressly disclaims any liability that may result from implementation of the Health and Safety Plan by Xxxxxxx. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
