INDEPENDENT PRINCIPAL Concessionaire’s status shall be that of an independent principal and not as an agent or employee of Department.
The Principal Paying Agent shall obtain verification, in the case of an allegedly lost, stolen or destroyed Security, Coupon or Talon in respect of which the serial number is known, that the Security, Coupon or Talon has not previously been redeemed, paid or exchanged, as the case may be. Control and Payment of Subordinates; Independent Contractor The Services shall be performed by Consultant or under its supervision. Consultant will determine the means, methods and details of performing the Services subject to the requirements of this Agreement. City retains Consultant on an independent contractor basis and not as an employee. Consultant retains the right to perform similar or different services for others during the Term of this Agreement. Any additional personnel performing the Services under this Agreement on behalf of Consultant shall also not be employees of City and shall at all times be under Consultant’s exclusive direction and control. Consultant shall pay all wages, salaries, and other amounts due such personnel in connection with their performance of Services under this Agreement and as required by law. Consultant shall be responsible for all reports and obligations respecting such additional personnel, including, but not limited to: social security taxes, income tax withholding, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, and workers’ compensation insurance.
About us The Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information (the Centre) was established by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to provide quality information to health professionals, the public, researchers, and health system decision-makers. Through collaboration with the health system, the Centre supports the development of data and technical standards and maintains key health databases, prepares and distributes health reports and supports and carries out applied health research and evaluations. The Centre’s mandate also includes responsibility for the provincial Electronic Health Record. The Centre is a crown agency governed by a board of directors appointed by Lieutenant- Governor-in- Council and is managed by a president & chief executive officer.
