Definition of Vacancy. A vacancy shall be defined as a newly created position or a present position that is not filled. A position that is totally eliminated shall not be considered a vacancy.
Definition of Vacancy. A vacancy is defined as a non-temporary (more than 12 months) opening in the classified service which the Appointing Authority determines to fill. A vacancy is not created by reassignment within thirty-five (35) miles to the same classification.
