DEFENCE RESERVE LEAVE. 50.1 An employee may be granted leave (with or without pay) to enable the employee to fulfil Australian Defence Force (ADF) Reserve and Continuous Full Time Service (CFTS) or Cadet Force obligations.
DEFENCE RESERVE LEAVE. The Director-General may grant an employee Defence Reserve leave, with or without pay, to enable the employee to fulfil Reserve or full-time Australian Defence Force (ADF) obligations. The Leave Policy provides details on how Defence Reserve leave is to be administered, however Defence Reserve leave shall be no less generous than the advice provided for by the Defence Reserve Support Council.
DEFENCE RESERVE LEAVE. 6.59 The Secretary may grant an employee leave (with or without pay) to enable the employee to fulfil Australian Defence Force Reserve and Continuous Full Time Service or Cadet Force obligations.
DEFENCE RESERVE LEAVE. An Employee required to complete Defence Reserve service may be granted leave up to a maximum period of 78 weeks’ continuous service. The Employee will consult with the Employer regarding the proposed timing of the service and will give the Employer as much notice as is possible of the time when the service will take place. Where the base salary excluding allowances received by the Employee from the Australian Defence Force or Defence Reserve service during his or her ordinary hours of work is below the Employee’s VPS salary, the Employer will, unless exceptional circumstances arise, pay to the Employee make‑up pay for the period of Defence Reserve service.
DEFENCE RESERVE LEAVE. An employee (other than a casual employee) who is a member of the Australian Defence Force Reserves will be granted Defence Reserve leave on full pay each year to undertake Defence service. The employee will be allowed up to 10 working days per calendar year to attend Australian Defence Force Reserves approved training camps or service. This leave can accumulate and be taken over a two-year period. For the purpose of this clause, a ‘year’ means the 12-month period commencing on 1 July and ending the following June. Payment for Defence Reserve leave will be made at the ordinary rate of pay the employee receives immediately before the period of leave begins. An additional two weeksleave without pay will be available for the purposes of attending other required training or service. The employer may, at their discretion, grant additional Defence Reserve leave on a paid or unpaid basis. An employee seeking to take Defence Reserve leave must provide notice to the employer at least one month prior to the period of leave. Defence Reserve leave, whether with or without pay, will be treated as service for all purposes, the exception being that a period or periods of leave without pay in excess of six months will not count as service for the purpose of accruing annual leave.
DEFENCE RESERVE LEAVE. 69.1 Employees engaged in Defence Force Reserve activities will be entitled to leave in accordance with the policy of the Defence Reserve Support Council.
