Block Scheduling. 1. When block scheduling results in the number of students seen by any teacher in a given day exceeds 160, written consent of the teacher(s) affected must be obtained in the form of a signed waiver by the affected teacher(s) which then must be submitted to the PED for approval.

Block Scheduling. The District will work cooperatively with the Association in establishing a research committee comprised of School Board members, administration, professional Employees, community members, parents and students. The purpose of the Research Committee is to research and evaluate the Block Scheduling concept and the feasibility of implementation within the Woodland Hills School District. Should the District receive a recommendation to implement Block Scheduling from the Research Committee, the District will provide the professional staff with adequate training as well as planning goals prior to the implementation. Once the professional staff have received the planning goals and received adequate training, the District may begin planning the implementation of the Block Scheduling program to be implemented. It is understood that should the Block Scheduling program be implemented, Section 508 of this agreement will be re-opened to bargain the effects of the Block Scheduling program.

There must be prior consultation and notice given to the MVFT before switching between the contractual period language, Option 1, Option 2, Option 3 and/or Option 4 (which is only applicable to Xxxxxxx High School). Option 4 (for Xxxxxxx High School only) The Xxxxxxx High School schedule implemented for the 2012-13 school year shall be added as a fourth option. Said schedule is attached hereto as Appendix IV.
