ABSENCES FROM WORK. 17.1 Employees who are unable to report for their normal workday have the responsibility to notify their supervisor of such absence as soon as possible, but in no event later than the beginning of such workday.

Contributions shall continue to be paid on behalf of an eligible Employee during any absence on paid leave such as annual leave, long service leave, public holidays, personal/carers leave and compassionate leave, but the Employer shall not be required to pay superannuation contributions on behalf of any eligible Employee during any unpaid absences except in the case of absence on workers' compensation (refer clause 8.2.2).
ABSENCES FROM WORK. 23.01 The Company may grant to an employee who has three (3) or more years of continuous service with the Company a leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority for a period not to exceed eight (8) weeks, once every three (3) years. ABSENCES FROM WORK. A team member who fails to attend for a rostered shift on the day before or the day after any Public Holiday shall forfeit wages for the day of the absence as well as for the Public Holiday. Where Target is satisfied that the team member’s absence was caused through illness or other reason, wages shall not be forfeited for the Public Holiday. Provided that a team member absent either before or after a group of Public Holidays, shall forfeit wages for only one Public Holiday as well as the period of absence.
ABSENCES FROM WORK. 20.01 Employees are required to attend work regularly in accordance with the Employer’s Attendance Management Program and Disability Management program. When unable to attend, the employee must contact his Manager or his designate as far in advance as possible of his scheduled starting time, giving the reason he is unable to attend work, the date of his expected return, and the details as to where he can be contacted during his absence. Call-ins to report an absence must be made by the employee no later than two (2) hours prior to the start of the employee’s scheduled shift except where there are extenuating circumstances making such a call impossible.
