Teaching Staff definition

Teaching Staff means teachers and the principal or head teacher employed at the Academy.

Teaching Staff means persons appointed as such under section 236(2);

Teaching Staff means the employees of the University, University College, the constituent colleges and the arts and science faculties of the federated universities who hold the academic rank of professor, associate professor, assistant professor, full-time lecturer or part-time lecturer, unless such part-time lecturer is registered as a student, or who hold any other rank created by the Governing Council and designated by it as an academic rank for the purposes of clause 1 (1) (m) of The Act. For the purposes of Governing Council elections, lecturer is understood to include the ranks of Lecturer and Senior Lecturer, Tutor and Senior Tutor. (Lecturer includes associates in the Faculty of Dentistry.) Assistant Professor (conditional), Athletics Instructor, Senior Athletics Instructor, Sessional Lecturer I and Sessional Lecturer II have also been designated by the Governing Council as academic ranks for the purposes of clause 1 (1)

Examples of Teaching Staff in a sentence

• Bargaining unit members returning from such leave, as Instructional Teaching Staff, shall return as a provisional employee and be placed on the salary schedule at the Step that guarantees an increase in salary in comparison to the member’s previous in the Lane commensurate with the highest level of education obtained.

• Should a member of Instructional Teaching Staff or Support Staff miss the majority of a planning period for an IEP meeting or other scheduled meetings, or when a bargaining unit member is assigned to perform translation services, then an equivalent number of minutes missed shall be provided by campus administration, or the member shall be compensated at the loss of prep rate set forth in the Stipend Article (Article 17) of this Agreement for the interrupted period, based on the member’s preference.

More Definitions of Teaching Staff

Teaching Staff means any employee employed by the University to engage directly in, or carry out teaching and learning.

Teaching Staff means and include all the teaching staff of the Goa University and also of all the colleges affiliated to the Goa University including Principals of such colleges.
