Examples of Parental leave in a sentence
Parental Leave is a leave of absence for a period of eighteen (18) weeks, for natural or adoptive parents or a person in a relationship of some permanence (common-law regulations to apply) with a parent who intends to treat the child as own.
At the sole discretion of the Superintendent, additional Parental Leave may be granted.
If more than one teacher is eligible for Parental Leave for the same child(ren), a total of six (6) weeks will be permitted between the teachers.
The NES Parental Leave provisions apply when:- • an employee gives birth; • an employee’s spouse / partner gives birth; • an employee adopts a child under sixteen (16) years of age.
Parental Leave provisions, an employee is entitled to take parental leave if the employee:- • has worked for the employer for at least twelve (12) months before the date of birth, the date of adoption; or when the leave starts (if the leave is taken after another person cares for the child or takes parental leave); and • has, or will have, responsibility for the care of a child.
