Supervisory Assignments. Core teachers on 6th, 7th & 8th grade interdisciplinary teams are assigned a team collaboration period as their supervisory assignment. For those who do not teach on an interdisciplinary team, assisting with student services and providing student support is the primary purpose of the supervisory period. Supervisory assignments are made which align with this purpose. • Provide opportunities for special tasks to be accomplished which contribute to student learning and the positive learning climate of the middle school. • Provide necessary supervision in the middle school. • Provide for the teaching of five periods. No staff member will be assigned more than one supervisory period unless a variance is in place. In general, the request for staff members to assume a 2nd supervisory is discouraged. However, under exceptional circumstances a variance request may be submitted and will be considered. Typical supervisory assignments require minimal or no curriculum lesson preparation. A supervisory assignment may require a staff member to record a grade and may require a staff member to serve the same students on an on-going basis. SUPERVISORY ASSIGNMENTS: Administrators and staff will work together to determine supervisory assignments. While attempts will be made to match staff preference with the supervisory assignment, the responsibility for making assignments rests with the building administrator. Building administrators are encouraged to obtain input from staff annually. It should be recognized that although there are differences in supervisory assignments, attempts should be made to provide equity. Supervisory assignments are subject to change throughout the school year based on need and/or equity. Approved Middle School Supervisory List Not all of the following will be necessary at all schools. Some may be combined/dual supervisory assignments (such as building level substitute and attendance support, with building substitute used first to reduce substitute costs). When not needed in the primary supervisory assignment, staff members will assist with other duties. Supervisory Assignments. The administration will make every reasonable effort not to assign any teacher to a cafeteria supervision assignment for more than one (1) one-half ribbon (40 minutes for one semester) in any two (2) consecutive school years. Assignments will be made in consultation with a representative of the teachers' association.
Supervisory Assignments. The Board and the Association acknowledge that a teacher's primary responsibility is to teach. Supervisory assignments such as hall duty, cafeteria duty, study hall duty, noon hour recreation supervision and bus duty supervision shall be equitably assigned in each building. Every effort will be made to insure that the collection of money and performance of custodial tasks are not assigned to members of the professional staff.

Supervisory Assignments. Certain non-classroom supervisory duties exist which the licensed staff may need to perform. Supervisory Assignments. To meet its operational needs, the University may assign supervisory duties to Communication Technician IIIs, Broadcasting Engineers, and Television Broadcast Equipment Operators. Such duties may include supervising, instructing and assigning work to other employees within that employees’ classification and classification series, as well to other employees outside the bargaining unit (such as students, extra-help personnel, contract labor, and multimedia technicians). Employees will not be permitted to supervise bargaining unit employees in other classifications outside the classification series. Whenever an employee is assigned supervisory duties, that employee shall receive a differential of one dollar and thirty cents ($1.30) for each hour spent performing those duties in addition to the employee’s regular, straight-time rate of pay.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Room Assignments A. The University draws students from many states, nations, races and religions. It will be the responsibility of each resident to respect the rights of all residents in university residence halls. Admission to Texas A&M University – Texarkana and any of its sponsored programs is open to qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. Room and roommate assignments are made without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

  • Extra Duty Assignments The Joint Study Committee hereby recommends the following as guidelines for extra duty assignments:

  • LIGHT DUTY ASSIGNMENTS 1. In the event a clerk requests a light duty assignment, in writing, management must contact the President, Lehigh Valley Area Local to discuss such request.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Subcontracting; Assignment The Contractor may not subcontract any portion of the services provided under this Contract without obtaining the prior written approval of the Procurement Officer, nor may the Contractor assign this Contract or any of its rights or obligations hereunder, without the prior written approval of the Procurement Officer provided, however, that a contractor may assign monies receivable under a contract after due notice to the State. Any subcontracts shall include such language as may be required in various clauses contained within this Contract, exhibits, and attachments. The Contract shall not be assigned until all approvals, documents, and affidavits are completed and properly registered. The State shall not be responsible for fulfillment of the Contractor’s obligations to its subcontractors.

  • Overtime Assignments When needed, overtime work for full-time employees shall be scheduled among qualified employees doing similar work in the work location where the employees regularly work in accordance with the following:

  • Teaching Assignments No employee shall be assigned to teach in a grade level and/or subject area not within the scope of his/her teaching certificate, except where a position within his/her certification is unavailable or when mutually agreed to by the affected employee and principal, or when determined necessary by the principal. Employees assigned to positions outside the scope of their certificates shall be assigned as soon as possible to positions for which they hold certification.
