Seniority Defined. Seniority is defined as the total length of service in the bargaining unit as an employee, regardless of occupational change. Seniority shall be used as one of the factors in determining preference or priority for promotion, transfers, demotions, terminations and layoff caused by force reductions and recall. Seniority shall operate on a bargaining unit wide basis.
Seniority Defined. (a) Seniority shall be defined as the length of the employee's continuous employment with the Employer, and shall accumulate, based on straight-time paid hours since the most recent date of employment with the Employer, including service prior to certification of the Union.

Paid hours on and after September 17th, 1989, shall accumulate at the rate of 1500 paid hours to equate to one (1) year of full time service.
Seniority Defined. (a) Seniority means the number of hours worked, exclusive of overtime, and all hours as set out in Article 10.02 that an Employee has accumulated while working from the last date the Employee commenced employment with the Regional Health Authority and/or its affiliates. Seniority shall not apply during the probationary period, however, once the probationary period has been completed, seniority shall be credited from the last date of employment.
