Packet Switching. The routing or forwarding of packets, frames, cells, or other data units based on address or other routing information contained in the packets, frames, cells or other data units, or the functions that are performed by the digital subscriber line access multiplexers, including but not limited to the ability to terminate an end-user customer’s copper Loop (which includes both a low-band voice channel and a high-band data channel, or solely a data channel); the ability to forward the voice channels, if present, to a circuit switch or multiple circuit switches; the ability to extract data units from the data channels on the Loops; and the ability to combine data units from multiple Loops onto one or more trunks connecting to a packet switch or packet switches.
Packet Switching. The Packet Switching UNE is defined as the basic packet switching function of routing or forwarding packets, frames, cells or other data units based on address or other routing information contained in the packets, frames, cells or other data units, and the functions that are performed by the DSLAM. VERIZON reserves the right to provide packet switching as an UNE only under the circumstances described in Rule 51.319(c)(5).
Packet Switching. 50.1. Sprint will provide CLEC unbundled packet switching if all of the following conditions are met:
Packet Switching. Packet Switching is defined as the function of routing individual data units, frames, cells, or “packets,” based on address or other routing information contained in the packets. Packet Switching must be offered only in the limited circumstances described in 47 C.F.R. § 51.319(c)(3). If needed, requirements will be developed based upon the requirements of applicable law at the time of the request.
Packet Switching. Notwithstanding any other provision of the Agreement or any Verizon tariff or SGAT, Hello Depot shall not be entitled to obtain access to the Packet Switching Capability of any Hybrid Loop on an unbundled basis.
Packet Switching. 3.3.1 BellSouth will provide to ICG unbundled access to its packet switching pursuant to the terms and conditions contained in this section 3.3 and only in those instances when the conditions set forth in 47 CFR §51.319(c)(3) are satisfied
Packet Switching. GTE reserves the right not to provide packet switching as a UNE under the circumstances described in Rule 51.319(c)(5). In accordance with Rule 51.319(c)(5), GTE will not make packet switching available as an UNE before May 17, 2000. Upon written request by Gulf Coast or GTE, the Parties shall engage in further good faith negotiations regarding the implementation of packet switching as an UNE.
Packet Switching. 11.4.3.1 The Packet Switching capability network element is defined as the basic packet switching function of routing or forwarding packets, frames, cells or other data units based on address or other routing information contained in the packets, frames, cells or other data units, and the functions performed by Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexers (DSLAMs), including but not limited to:
Packet Switching. Notwithstanding any other provision of the Agreement or any Verizon tariff or SGAT, ***CLEC Acronym TXT*** shall not be entitled to obtain access to the Packet Switching Capability of any Hybrid Loop on an unbundled basis.
Packet Switching. Notwithstanding any other provision of the Agreement or any Verizon tariff or SGAT, Cypress shall not be entitled to obtain access to the Packet Switching Capability of any Hybrid Loop on an unbundled basis.
