Medical, Optical or Dental Appointments. The employee may use sick leave for medical, dental or optical appointments; however, every effort should be made to schedule the appointments at a time of day that will minimize the employee’s time off work.

Medical/Dental Appointments Where medical and/or dental appointments cannot be scheduled outside the employee's working hours, sick leave with pay shall be granted.
Medical and Dental Appointments An employee may attend a medical consultation, receive dental treatment or be absent because of sickness for less than one-half day without reduction of sick leave credits and/or pay.
