Temporary Total Disablement definition

Temporary Total Disablement means disablement which entirely prevents the Insured Person from attending to their business or occupation.
Temporary Total Disablement. : means a bodily injury caused by accidental, external, violent and visible means, which as a direct consequence thereof totally disables and prevents the Insured Person from attending to any business or occupation of any and every kind or if he/she has no business or occupation, from attending to his/her usual and normal duties that lasts temporarily for a certain period within twelve calendar months from the date of the accident.
Temporary Total Disablement in relation to a employee means the temporary inability of such employee as the result of an accident in respect of which compensation is payable, to perform the work at which he was employed at the time of such accident, or work similar thereto;

Examples of Temporary Total Disablement in a sentence

  • If the Insured Person sustains an Injury in an Accident which occurs during the Policy Period and which completely incapacitates the Insured Person from engaging in any employment or occupation of any description whatsoever which the Insured Person was capable of performing at the time of that Accident We will pay the weekly benefit specified in the Policy Schedule / Certificate of Insurance for each week or part thereof for which the Temporary Total Disablement continues.

  • If We have accepted a Claim for Accidental Death, Permanent Total Disablement, Permanent Partial Disablement or Temporary Total Disablement in accordance with Benefit 1, 2, 3 or 4 of Section A, then We will reimburse the costs of to and fro economy class ticket up to the limit specified in the Policy Schedule / Certificate of Insurance for one of the Insured Person’s Immediate Relatives to travel from their place of residence to the location of the Insured Person.

  • If we have admitted a Claim for Accidental Death or Permanent Total Disablement or Permanent Partial Disablement or Temporary Total Disablement in accordance with Benefit 1, 2, 3 or 4 of Section A, then We will in addition reimburse the actual expenses incurred in purchasing blood through a Hospital or blood bank for the purpose of the Insured Person’s medical or surgical treatment provided that such treatment is following the Accident.

  • If we have admitted a Claim for Accidental Death or Permanent Total Disablement or Permanent Partial Disablement or Temporary Total Disablement in accordance with Benefit 1, 2, 3 or 4 of Section A, then We will in addition reimburse the Medical Expenses incurred by the Insured Person provided that such treatment is following the Accident.

  • If We have accepted a Claim for Accidental Death, Permanent Total Disablement, Permanent Partial Disablement or Temporary Total Disablement in accordance with Benefit 1, 2, 3 or 4 of Section A, then We w ill reimburse the costs of to and fro economy class ticket up to the limit specified in the Policy Schedule / Certificate of Insurance for one of the Insured Person’s Immediate Relatives to travel fromtheir place of residence to the location of the Insured Person.
