Parental leave definition

Parental leave means leave to bond and to care for a newborn child after birth or to bond and care for a child after placement for adoption or xxxxxx care, for a period of up to sixteen (16) weeks after the birth or placement.
Parental leave means adoption leave, maternity leave, special maternity leave and paternity leave, as appropriate.
Parental leave means leave provided for by subclause (4)(a); "partner" means a spouse or de facto partner.

Examples of Parental leave in a sentence

  • Parental Leave is a leave of absence for a period of eighteen (18) weeks, for natural or adoptive parents or a person in a relationship of some permanence (common-law regulations to apply) with a parent who intends to treat the child as own.
