Foreign Securities definition

Foreign Securities include: securities issued and sold primarily outside the United States by a foreign government, a national of any foreign country or a corporation or other organization incorporated or organized under the laws of any foreign country and securities issued or guaranteed by the government of the United States or by any state or any political subdivision thereof or by any agency thereof or by any entity organized under the laws of the United States or of any state thereof which have been issued and sold primarily outside the United States.
Foreign Securities as defined in paragraph (c)(1) of Rule 17f-5 under the Investment Company Act of 1940, and (b) cash and cash equivalents in such amounts as the Custodian or the Fund may determine to be reasonably necessary to effect the Fund's foreign securities transactions. The Custodian shall identify on its books as belonging to the Fund, the foreign securities of the Fund held by each foreign sub-custodian.
Foreign Securities means any investments of a Fund (including foreign currencies) for which the primary market is outside the United States and such cash and cash equivalents as are reasonably necessary to effect such Fund’s transactions in such investments.

Examples of Foreign Securities in a sentence

  • Foreign securities shall be maintained in a Foreign Securities System in a designated country only through arrangements implemented by the Foreign Sub-Custodian in such country pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.

  • Foreign securities and other financial assets held outside of the United States maintained in the custody of an Eligible Foreign Custodian and that are not bearer securities shall be registered in the name of the applicable Portfolio or in the name of the Custodian or in the name of any Eligible Foreign Custodian or in the name of any nominee of any of the foregoing.

Foreign Securities means, unless otherwise agreed, Securities that are principally cleared and settled outside the United States.
