Final Judgment definition

Final Judgment means the Judgment Entered by the Court upon Granting Final Approval of the Settlement.
Final Judgment means a judgment, decision, determination, or order (a) which is issued by a court of law, an investigatory government agency authorized by law to enforce an applicable Law, an arbiter, or arbitration panel and (b) for which all appeals have been exhausted or the time period to appeal has expired. For pay equity Laws, relevant investigatory government agencies include the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Violation of a pay equity Law shall mean unlawful discrimination in compensation on the basis of an individual’s sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race, color, ethnicity, or national origin under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, California Fair Employment and Housing Act, or California Labor Code section 1197.5, as applicable. For wage and hour Laws, relevant investigatory government agencies include the federal Department of Labor, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and the City of San Jose’s Office of Equality Assurance.
Final Judgment means a judicial or other determination as to which no appeal or other review is pending or in effect and any deadline for filing any such appeal or review that may be designated by statute, rule, stipulation or other agreement has passed.

Examples of Final Judgment in a sentence

  • The Court shall enter a Final Judgment substantially similar in form and content as Exhibit E, as described in Section 12, the Final Judgment must become Final, and the Effective Date must occur.

  • Defendants agree to institute these practices on the Effective Date and continue them for a period of two (2) years after the entry of Final Judgment.

  • The motion for preliminary approval shall include a Preliminary Approval Order, a Class Notice, Claim Form, a Postcard Notice, and a Final Judgment, all substantially in form and content as Exhibits A-E.

  • Members who timely submit a valid request for exclusion from the Settlement Class, all other Class Members will be deemed to be Class Members for all purposes under the Agreement, and upon the Effective Date will be bound by its terms, including, but not limited to, the Releases in Section 9 of the Agreement and Final Judgment approving the Settlement.

  • If there are changes in the law related to the above practices that occur during the two (2) years after the Final Judgment, Defendants’ audits will address compliance with the new law(s) then in effect.


More Definitions of Final Judgment

Final Judgment means any money that is owed to the department under this chapter, including fees and penalties, or any money that is owed to the department as a result of an individual's or contractor's unsuccessful appeal of a citation.
