Facilities Study definition

Facilities Study shall be an engineering study conducted by the Transmission Provider (in coordination with the affected Transmission Owner(s)) to: (1) determine the required modifications to the Transmission Provider’s Transmission System necessary to implement the conclusions of the System Impact Study; and (2) complete any additional studies or analyses documented in the System Impact Study or required by PJM Manuals, and determine the required modifications to the Transmission Provider’s Transmission System based on the conclusions of such additional studies. The Facilities Study shall include the cost and scheduled completion date for such modifications, that will be required to provide the requested transmission service or to accommodate a New Service Request. As used in the Interconnection Service Agreement or Construction Service Agreement, Facilities Study shall mean that certain Facilities Study conducted by Transmission Provider (or at its direction) to determine the design and specification of the Customer Funded Upgrades necessary to accommodate the New Service Customer’s New Service Request in accordance with Tariff, Part VI, section 207. Federal Power Act:
Facilities Study means a study conducted by the Transmission Service Provider, or its agent, for the interconnection customer to determine a list of facilities, the cost of those facilities, and the time required to interconnect a generating facility with the transmission system or enable the sale of firm transmission service.
Facilities Study means a study to specify and estimate the cost of the equipment, engineering, procurement and construction work if distribution upgrades are required.

Examples of Facilities Study in a sentence

  • At its sole cost and expense, Interconnection Customer shall make such changes to the design of the pertinent Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities as may reasonably be required by Transmission Provider, in consultation with the Interconnected Transmission Owner, to ensure that the Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities that Interconnection Customer is building meet Applicable Standards and conform with the Facilities Study.

  • The Interconnection Feasibility Study, the System Impact Study, and the Facilities Study described in Part IV and Part VI of the Tariff.

  • In order to exercise this Option to Build, Interconnection Customer must provide Transmission Provider and the Interconnected Transmission Owner with written notice of Interconnection Customer’s election to exercise the option no later than thirty (30) days from the date the Interconnection Customer receives the results of the Facilities Study (or, if no Facilities Study was required, completion of the System Impact Study).

  • All Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities necessary for the interconnection of the Customer Facility shall be designed, procured, installed and constructed in accordance with this Appendix 2, Applicable Standards, Applicable Laws and Regulations, Good Utility Practice, the Facilities Study and the Scope of Work under the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement(s).

  • When used in an Interconnection Construction Service Agreement, the term may refer to a Transmission Owner whose facilities must be upgraded pursuant to the Facilities Study, but whose facilities are not directly interconnected with those of the Interconnection Customer.


More Definitions of Facilities Study

Facilities Study means an engineering study conducted by the EDC to determine the required modifications to the EDC’s Electric Distribution System, including the cost and the time required to build and install such modifications as necessary to accommodate an Interconnection Request.
Facilities Study shall have the meaning as described in PUCT Rule 25.198(d) or its successor.

Facilities Study means that study described in Section 59‑158‑180(A).
Facilities Study means a comprehensive analysis of the actual construction needed to take place based on the outcome of a System Impact Study.
Facilities Study is an engineering study conducted pursuant to this Agreement or the Tariff by the System Operator and/or one or more affected Participants to determine the required modifications to the NEPOOL Transmission System, including the cost and scheduled completion date for such modifications, that will be required to provide a requested transmission service or interconnection.
