Emergencies definition

Emergencies means events or circumstances that pose an immediate risk to persons, property or the environment, including immediate risks to the integrity of the Storage Fa- cility.
Emergencies refer to the major accidents occurred to the power generation or power supply facilities within the electric power system, including the grid frequency or electric voltage exceeds the prescribed limit, the loading of the transmission and transformation facilities is over the regulated value, the power of trunk circuit exceeds the specified stability limitation and other operating conditions which threaten the grid operation safety, may destroy the grid stability and eventually lead to the grid collapse or even vast area power cut.
Emergencies means where there is potential for loss of life or property damage.

Examples of Emergencies in a sentence

Emergencies. Employees shall not be required to work more than two (2) consecutive shifts except in very extreme emergencies and then only after a proper period of paid time for sleep and rest, nor shall employees be required to work seven (7) consecutive days (excluding RC-9 employees on rotating schedules whose regular schedule provides for working seven (7) consecutive days) except in an emergency.
