Eligible Faculty Member definition

Eligible Faculty Member means a faculty member who is employed full-time in a permanent, term or replacement position, for a minimum of eight (8) consecutive months. Other than in the foregoing situations, where an employee holds a professional designation as a condition of employment, the employee shall maintain such designation in good standing.
Eligible Faculty Member means a faculty member with one or more academic years of service in the Colleges.
Eligible Faculty Member means, for purposes of the University Contribution Program, an Employee described below:

Examples of Eligible Faculty Member in a sentence

  • Teaching, research and service assignments during the period of phased retirement are individually negotiated by the Eligible Faculty Member and the appropriate supervisors and/or personnel committee(s).

  • In conjunction with the Agreement executed under the Program, an Eligible Faculty Member must execute a waiver of rights and claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (the “ADEA”) and other laws (the “Release”).

  • A Monte-Carlo simulation model was developed to illustrate the risk management benefits of additional crop insurance coverage and contracting.

  • After the Agreement is drafted, it must be delivered to the Eligible Faculty Member, and the Eligible Faculty Member has no less that forty-five (45) calendar days within which to consider the Release.

  • A covered veteran who is undergoing medical treatment, recuperation, or therapy, for a Serious Injury or Illness and who was a member of the Armed Forces (including a member of the National Guard or Reserves) and was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable at any time during the 5-year period prior to the first date the Eligible Faculty Member takes FML to Care for the covered veteran.

  • In conjunction with the Agreement to be executed under the Program, an Eligible Faculty Member must also execute a waiver of rights and claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (the "ADEA") and other laws (the "Release").

  • If the Eligible Faculty Member elects to revoke the Release within the seven (7) day period, the Eligible Faculty member must immediately be restored to the same full-time employment status as the faculty member held prior to execution of the Release, and the Agreement becomes null and void.

  • Child (except for military FML requests under Section VI): A person who is the son or daughter of an Eligible Faculty Member and who is under eighteen (18) years of age; or, eighteen (l8) years of age or older and incapable of self-care because of a mental or physical disability at the time FML commences.

  • The son and/or daughter may be the biological, adopted, step or foster child of the Eligible Faculty Member.

  • Alternative Position: A position to which an Eligible Faculty Member may be reassigned temporarily during a period of intermittent or reduced schedule FML.


More Definitions of Eligible Faculty Member

Eligible Faculty Member means any tenured member of the faculty (full-time or regular part-time) of the College who (i) has completed at least 10 years of service with the College and (ii) has attained age 60.

  • Faculty Member means any person hired by the college or District to conduct classroom or teaching activities or who is otherwise considered by the college to be a member of faculty.

  • Eligible Member means an employee who is enrolled in one of the designated benefits plans for which you offer participation in the wellness incentive program prior to the end of the first six months of the policy year and who remains enrolled in one of the designated benefits plans at the end of the policy year. Eligible Member also means the employee’s dependents to the extent that dependents are eligible to participate in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield wellness incentive program.) To qualify for a group wellness incentive award, you must meet the following program participation conditions: • You are a group eligible to offer the program as determined by Blue Cross and Blue Shield; and • You elect to offer the Blue Cross and Blue Shield wellness incentive program to your Members who are eligible to participate in the program at the start of your policy year and you continue the program for eligible Members through the end of the policy year; and • At least 20% of your Members who are eligible for the program must participate in the program during the policy year in which you offer the wellness incentive program; and • This Agreement is not be terminated before the end of the policy year in which you offer the wellness incentive program. When you offer a Blue Cross and Blue Shield wellness incentive program, Blue Cross and Blue Shield will determine if you qualify for a group incentive award within 90 days after the end of the policy year. Your group wellness incentive award will be calculated as a percentage of the total medical insurance premium you paid for the policy year for benefits plans for which you offer wellness incentive program participation, excluding any premium payments that are received by Blue Cross and Blue Shield after the end of the policy year. The percentage used to calculate your wellness incentive award will vary depending on how many of your eligible Members participate in the program during the policy year as follows: 1.25% when 20% to 49% of eligible Members participate; or 2.5% when 50% to 79% of eligible Members participate; or 7.5% when 80% to 100% of eligible Members participate. For the purpose of calculating your group wellness incentive award, an eligible Member who earns his or her individual maximum member wellness incentive payment in the policy year is considered to have participated in the program for that policy year. If you qualify for a group incentive award, Blue Cross and Blue Shield will issue the incentive amount to you (by means of a credit and/or a check) once the incentive amount has been calculated. You are solely responsible for determining whether you have any obligation to distribute all or part of your group wellness incentive award to your employees, or to credit a portion of your group wellness incentive award toward their benefits, or otherwise to notify them of your group wellness incentive award. You agree to indemnify and hold Blue Cross and Blue Shield harmless from any and all actions that may be brought against you or Blue Cross and Blue Shield due to your failure to provide any required distribution of, credit, or notification about, your group wellness incentive award to your employees.

  • Non-Participating Home Infusion Therapy Provider means a Home Infusion Therapy Provider who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Non-Participating Certified Nurse-Midwife means a Certified Nurse-Midwife who does not have a written agreement with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Non-Participating Prosthetic Provider means a Prosthetic Provider who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Non-Participating Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist means a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Non-Participating Certified Nurse Practitioner means a Certified Nurse Practitioner who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Participating Prosthetic Provider means a Prosthetic Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Participating Home Infusion Therapy Provider means a Home Infusion Therapy Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Deferred member means a person who elected to receive deferred vested retirement

  • Participating Certified Nurse Practitioner means a Certified Nurse Practitioner who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
