Temporary Structures and Housing a. Sites that have been previously prepared for planned construction, such as land being developed for public housing, office buildings, city parks, ball fields, schools, etc. when all utilities are installed above-ground or tie into pre-existing utility lines.

  • Temporary Structures Installation of temporary construction-related structures including scaffolding, barriers, screening, fences, protective walkways, signage, office trailers or restrooms.

  • Temporary Roads As necessary to attain stabilization of roadbed and fill slopes of Temporary Roads, Purchaser shall employ such measures as out- sloping, drainage dips, and water-spreading ditches. After a Temporary Road has served Purchaser’s pur- pose, Purchaser shall give notice to Forest Service and shall remove bridges and culverts, eliminate ditches, out- slope roadbed, remove ruts and berms, effectively block the road to normal vehicular traffic where feasible under existing terrain conditions, and build cross ditches and water bars, as staked or otherwise marked on the ground by Forest Service. When bridges and culverts are re- moved, associated fills shall also be removed to the ex- tent necessary to permit normal maximum flow of water.

  • Temporary Schedule Changes Overtime-eligible employees’ workweeks and/or work schedules may be temporarily changed with prior notice from the Employer. A temporary schedule change is defined as a change lasting thirty (30) calendar days or less. With the exception of the job classifications listed in Appendix B, overtime-eligible employees will receive three (3) calendar days’ written notice of any temporary schedule change. The day that notification is given is considered the first day of notice. Adjustments in the hours of work of daily work shifts during a workweek do not constitute a temporary schedule change.

  • Temporary Layoffs A. The Employer may initiate a temporary layoff for up to twelve (12) working days per fiscal year. Employees will be given thirty (30) days’ notice before the effective date of a temporary layoff. Employees may request alternative temporary layoff days from their manager or supervisor and any requests will be considered and approved or denied in writing.

  • Temporary Facilities a. The Contractor shall obtain permits for, install and maintain in safe condition all scaffolds, hoisting equipment, barricades, walkways, or other temporary structures that may be required to accomplish the work. Such structures shall be adequate for the intended use and capable of safely accepting all loads that may be imposed upon them. They shall be installed and maintained in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations.

  • BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES 1. Repair or retrofit of buildings less than 45 years old.

  • Temporary Nurse Any nurse who is employed for a specified period of time not to exceed three (3) months, or any nurse who is employed to fill positions because of any combination of leaves of absence, vacations, holidays, and sick leave for a period of time not to exceed six (6) months.

  • Tents Requests for tents will be considered on an individual basis. If approved, all tenting must be done by one of the DCA’s approved tenting companies. All tents require a permit from the Town of Darien Building Department and inspection prior to the event. No stakes may be driven into the lawns or parking lot. DELIVERIES/PICK-UPS Rented supplies may be delivered one day in advance of rental and picked up before 8:30 am on the next business day (i.e. Saturday rental supplies may be picked up on Monday), but these arrangements must be confirmed with the DCA. Food, refrigerated items, wedding cakes and flowers must be delivered during the event set-up hours. The DCA is not responsible for any supplies, rentals or personal items while on the premises.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.

  • Temporary Services The steamfitters shall not do any other work and shall not be permitted to work more than one shift in a twenty- four hour day. When steamfitters are present during the regular working day, no temporary services steamfitter will be required. Effective Period: 7/1/2015 - 6/30/2016 Wage Rate per Hour: $41.80 Supplemental Benefit Rate per Hour: $42.76 Overtime Double time the regular rate after an 8 hour day. Double time the regular time rate for Saturday. Double time the regular rate for Sunday.
