Section 7.4. 43 Employees requested to work a shift or hours regularly filled by a higher classification employee, must 44 fulfill all requirements and qualifications of that position, and shall receive compensation for the 45 higher classification, at the lower classification employees' present step placement, as reflected on 46 Schedule A. In the event an employee works in a classification calling for a lower rate of pay she/he 47 shall be compensated at the rate established for the classification in which she/he regularly is assigned.
Section 7.4. 25 In the event of an unusual school closure due to inclement weather, plant in-operation, or the like, the 26 District will make every effort to notify each employee to refrain from coming to work. This 27 notification shall be in the form of public radio/TV announcements. Employees reporting to work 28 shall receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay at base rate in the event of such a closure; provided, 29 however, no employee shall be entitled to any such compensation in the event he/she has been actually 30 notified by the District of the closure prior to leaving home for work.
Section 7.4. 24 In the event an employee is assigned to a shift less than the normal work shift previously defined in 25 this Article, see Rest and Meal Breaks table below. If there are 30 minutes or less between 26 assignments and the time worked of such assignments is 4 hours or more, the employee shall receive a 27 paid 15 minute rest period provided however, determinations regarding break periods and assignments 28 will be made by the Human Resources office.
