Religious Objections. Any member of the bargaining unit who is a member of a religious body whose traditional tenets or teachings include objections to joining or financially supporting unit member organizations shall not be required to join, maintain membership in, or financially support CSEA as a condition of employment. Such unit member shall be required, in lieu of a service fee, to pay sums equal to such service fee to one of the following non- religious, non-labor organizations, a charitable donation exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the Internal Revenue Code:
