REDUCTION IN WORK YEAR. Notwithstanding any other term of this Agreement, the work year of a twelve (12) month administrator may be changed to a ten (10) month work year, and/or the number of hours regularly worked by such administrator during one or more work weeks may be reduced to part-time, and the salary and other benefits of such administrator shall be adjusted accordingly pursuant to the terms of this Agreement; provided, however, that the President of the University shall have given to such Administrator and the Chapter President written notice of such change in the work year and of the effective date thereof; and provided further that the President shall take such action only in the case of financial exigency or in the case of changing needs of the University. Such a reduction in force shall not be effectuated, as hereinafter provided, until the procedures set forth in Section B of this Article have been complied with in the case of financial exigency, or, in the case of the changing needs of the University, the procedures set forth in Section C have been followed. Whenever the President of the University or their designee shall have determined that such a reduction is required, a notice thereof shall be given to each administrator assigned to the affected administrative area and the Chapter President and volunteers shall be solicited. If within fifteen (15) days of such notice no volunteers have agreed to such reduction, the President may make such reductions in accordance with this Section as they shall determine. Members of the bargaining unit who have completed one (1) but not seven (7) years of service shall receive four (4) months’ notice prior to such reduction. Members of the bargaining unit who have completed seven (7) or more years of service shall receive eight (8) months’ notice prior to such reduction.

REDUCTION IN WORK YEAR. A unit member may resign a percentage of his/her employment. Written notification must be given to the Executive Director, Human Resources no later than March 1 of the school year preceding the year for desired implementation. This reduction in percentage of employment shall reduce the unit member’s employment status FTE entitlement. Any unit member who has resigned a percentage of his/her assignment and wishes to increase his/her percentage must notify the Executive Director, Human Resources no later than March 1 of the school year preceding the return year. The unit member shall be given first consideration for reemployment for two school years following the reduction.

  • REDUCTION IN WORK FORCE 19.01 In the event of a reduction in the work force, regular employees shall be laid off in reverse order of seniority, provided that there are available employees with greater seniority who are qualified and willing to do the work of the employees laid off.

  • Extended Work Year A teacher requested by the Board to work in his/her regular assignment beyond the contracted number of days shall be offered an extended contract and compensated at the scheduled per diem rate, as specified in Article XXV. Compensation for weeks worked after July 1 shall be at the new rate.

  • REGULAR WORK YEAR 1. The annual salary established for employees covered by this Collective Agreement shall be payable in respect of the employees’ regular work year. The regular work year shall be the regular school year as established by the Board and shall not exceed one hundred and ninety-five (195) days in session per school year.

  • Basic Work Year The regular work year shall be prescribed by the School District each year for regular employees.

  • REDUCTION IN FORCE It is understood and agreed that in addition to the above designated and related duties, full-time professional staff shall participate fully in the activities of institutional councils and/or committees. The employment status of the Employee shall be as follows: Executive/Managerial Appointment , not subject to tenure. Professional/Managerial Appointment , not subject to tenure. Other conditions of Employment:

  • Normal Work Year The normal work year for the Administrator shall be Two Hundred Sixty (260) days between July 1 and June 30 annually which will include all student attendance days and teacher work days. The Administrator shall not be entitled to any additional paid days unless specifically required to work beyond the Two Hundred Sixty (260) day contract by the Superintendent or the Board.
