Level 2. If the grievant is not satisfied with the written answer from his/her manager the grievant may, within ten (10) days from the receipt of such answer, file a written appeal to the appointing authority. Within ten (10) days of the receipt of the written appeal the appointing authority shall investigate the grievance, which shall include a meeting with the concerned parties, and thereafter shall give a written answer to the grievant within ten (10) days.

Level 2. In the event that the aggrieved person is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Level 1, or in the event that no decision is reached within ten (10) school days after a formal presentation, the matter may be appealed in writing to the superintendent of schools. If the grievant appeals to the superintendent, the superintendent or his designated representative shall confer with the grievant in an effort to arrive at a satisfactory solution within ten (10) school days after the appeal has been received by the superintendent. If the grievant does not appeal to the superintendent within thirty (30) school days after the formal conference at Level 1, the appeal of the grievance shall automatically be waived.
Level 2. If the grievant is not satisfied with the written answer at Xxxxx 0, the grievant may, within seven (7) days from the receipt of such answer, file a written appeal by hand delivery or by e-mail (with confirmation of delivery) to the department head. Within seven (7) days of receipt of the written appeal, the department head or his/her designee, shall investigate the grievance, which may include a meeting with the concerned parties and thereafter provide a written response to the grievant with seven (7) days.
Level 2. Within five (5) days of the discussion at Xxxxx 0, the Employee must notify the Association Grievance Committee representative of any dissatisfaction and must submit his/her grievance in writing to his/her immediate supervisor on the form provided. The immediate supervisor shall sign and date all copies when he/she receives them. If the grievance does not involve the immediate supervisor, it may be filed at Level 3. The immediate supervisor shall respond in writing to the grievance within ten (10) days of receipt of the grievance.
Level 2. If the grievance shall not have been disposed of to the Member’s satisfaction within five (5) working days after submission to Xxxxx 0, the grievance may be filed in writing with the Superintendent, who shall within five (5) working days after stamped receipt of the Level 2 grievance, meet with the aggrieved Member and /or a representative from the Association in an effort to settle the grievance. The Superintendent’s determination of the grievance shall be in writing to the grievant.
Level 2. If the grievant is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance, or if no disposition has been made within (5) school days, the grievance shall be transmitted to the Superintendent. Within fifteen (15) school days of the receipt of the grievance, the Superintendent shall indicate a disposition of the grievance in writing to the Paraprofessional and the Association. The Superintendent may, at his/her option or at the request of the Asso- ciation, hold a hearing prior to rendering a decision.
Level 2. If the grievance has not been resolved in Level 1, it may then be processed to Level 2 by the employee and representative presenting the written grievance to the Superintendent. The Superintendent or his/her designee shall meet within fifteen (15) days after receipt of the written appeal to discuss the problem with the employee and his/her representative. Within ten (10) days of the meeting the Superintendent or his/her designee shall submit his/her written answer to the grievance. The unit representative has ten (10) days in which to either accept the answer or appeal it in writing to the next level. Such appeal shall be served in the office of the Superintendent.

Within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the written grievance, the Sheriff, or his/her designee, shall investigate the grievance which may include a meeting with the concerned parties and, thereafter give written answer to the grievant within fourteen (14) days. Level 3: If the grievant is not satisfied with the written answer from Level 2, the grievant may, within seven (7) days from the receipt of such answer, file a written appeal to the County Commissioners. Within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the written appeal, the County Commissioners, or their designee, shall investigate the grievance, which may include a meeting with the concerned parties, and, thereafter, give written answer to the grievant within seven (7) days, which answer shall be final and binding unless, within fourteen (14) days, the grievant notifies the County Commissioners of his/her intention to appeal the matter to the External Hearing Officer. Minor Disciplinary Actions shall not be appealable to an External Hearing Officer.
Level 2. If the Association is not satisfied with the decision of the appropriate administrator, or if no decision has been delivered in the time allowed in Section 1, written notice of appeal signed by a representative of the Association shall be delivered to the Superintendent or his/her designee within ten (10) calendar days thereafter. Within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of such notice, the Superintendent or his/her designee shall meet with the grievant and a representative of the Association in an effort to settle the grievance. The Superintendent or his/her designee shall deliver his/her decision in writing to the grievant and the Association’s representative within fourteen (14) calendar days after such meeting.
Level 2. Requires 12 Semester Units The employee may utilize not more than three (3) academic units to meet this requirement.
