Filing Deadline. A staff member's category, on which salary is to be determined, will be based on the number of graduate hours or district professional growth credits or a combination thereof on file in the Human Resources office no later than September 1 unless the college is at fault. In that case, the salary will be adjusted by the next pay period after being received. Teachers who receive an approved educational masters, specialists or doctorate will receive mid-year advancement on the salary schedule. An official transcript, with the degree posted, should be provided to Human Resources by February 1st. Increases in salary will be prorated and reflected in the March through August paychecks.

Filing Deadline. No grievance involving demotion, suspension, discharge or other employment penalty will be entertained unless it is filed in writing with the Director of Human Resources within ten (10) business days of the date of receipt of written notification of such action, or within fourteen (14) business days following mailing of written notification by first class mail to the employee's address contained in his/her official personnel records. For purposes of this subsection, "business day" shall mean a day on which the Human Resources Department is open for business to the public.
Filing Deadline. The statement of intent to retire shall be submitted to the Superintendent no later than December 1st of the school year of retirement. The Board, at its discretion, may waive the filing deadline due to extenuating circumstances. Such action shall not be deemed precedential.

For public hearing items, staff will also notify property owners within 200 feet of the boundaries of the property. While your attendance at a public hearing or meeting is not mandatory, it is in your best interest to attend the meeting to explain your proposal and answer questions. If you, or a representative attending on your behalf, are not present to answer questions regarding the development proposal, the application may be denied or referred to another date due to a lack of available information. You should also remain at the public hearing or public meeting until after the Plan Commission votes on your proposal.
