Asbestos Handling. The Subcontractor must comply with all Legislative Requirements and Tandem Policies and Procedures in relation to asbestos and asbestos handling. It is Tandem’s intent that no deliberate removal or modification of Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) is to occur during the Works. Tandem may choose after consultation with any relevant Client to engage an appropriately licensed company with accredited workers as defined by Legislative Requirements. This asbestos work must be performed in adherence to an equivalent system meeting the requirements set out in TDC-HSE-GRP-PLN-0908 Group Asbestos Management Plan. The Subcontractor or Subcontractor Representatives under their normal scope of work must not handle asbestos, unless under direction by a Tandem FCM or Tandem delegate if it is deemed necessary as best action required to make a Site safe. This can only occur where a worker is competent and the work is of non-licensable nature as required by current Legislative requirements and uses clothing and equipment that is approved for asbestos handling, removal work and transportation. The Subcontractor must ensure that its Representatives will not, under any circumstances, leave any asbestos based products or debris or any other environmentally hazardous substances or products that are dangerous to health and safety accessible to customers or the public, either during the course of the Services, in transit or at any stage of storage or disposal. Where a Work Order or any Services requires or involves the handling and/or disposal of ACM, the Subcontractor and the Subcontractor Representatives must be qualified and licensed to handle asbestos. The Subcontractor must ensure, as a minimum, compliance with this FOM and all relevant Tandem Policies and Procedures, including TDC-HSE-GRP-PLN-0908 Tandem Asbestos Management Plan.

  • Recycling If this Agreement provides for the purchase or use of goods specified in PCC 12207 (for example, certain paper products, office supplies, mulch, glass products, lubricating oils, plastic products, paint, antifreeze, tires and tire-derived products, and metal products), this section is applicable with respect to those goods. Without limiting the foregoing, if this Agreement includes (i) document printing, (ii) parts cleaning, or (iii) janitorial and building maintenance services, this section is applicable. Contractor shall use recycled products in the performance of this Agreement to the maximum extent doing so is economically feasible.
