Unit Member definition

Unit Member refers to any employee who is included in the bargaining unit as defined in Article II.

Unit Member means any employee under contract to the "District", including part-time and temporary, who is included in the appropriate unit as defined in Article II and therefore covered by the terms and provisions of this Agreement.

Unit Member refers to any employee who is included in the certificated employees' bargaining unit and, therefore, covered by the terms and provisions of this Agreement.

• A Unit Member is disabled by pregnancy if, in the opinion of her own doctor or other licensed health care practitioner, she is unable because of pregnancy, childbirth or a related medical condition to perform the essential functions of her job or to perform these duties without undue risk to herself or other persons.

• In the event the Superintendent does not give notice pursuant to this provision, the Unit Member shall be deemed reelected for the next succeeding school year.

• Retraining leave may be revoked by the Superintendent, and the Unit Member required to return to work, if the Unit Member fails to satisfy the terms of the leave.

• The Superintendent may require as a condition of such leave that the Unit Member commit to remaining in the employment of the Superintendent for an agreed upon period of time, not to exceed two (2) school years, following the completion of the leave.

• The terms of such retraining leave shall be mutually agreeable between the interested Unit Member, who may be represented by the Federation, and the Superintendent.

Unit Member refer to Article II.

Unit Member refers to any regular certificated employee of the District covered by this Agreement. Temporary, probationary or permanent, part-time or full-time classroom teachers including, but not limited to, psychologists, nurses, speech and language specialists, resource specialist teachers, special day class teachers, counselors, adaptive P.E. specialist, reading specialists, and teachers of the gifted are considered to be unit members.
