Underlying Rate means on a date when the Underlying Rate is required to be determined:

  • If the Underlying Rate does not fix at or fall within or outside of such range on one or more days during the term of the Notes, then the return on the Notes may be lower than expected, or may even be zero.

More Definitions of Underlying Rate

Underlying Rate means each rate specified as such in the definition of the relevant Series in the applicable Final Terms, as determined by the Calculation Agent by reference to the Screen Rate (if any) unless in the determination of the Calculation Agent, a Market Disruption Event has occurred, in which case the Underlying Rate shall be calculated in accordance with Product Condition 4; and
Underlying Rate means the prevailing rate for deposits in the Underlying Currency with a designated maturity of either one month or overnight as determined by the Calculation Agent for each Day Count Fraction;
