Salary Placement definition

Salary Placement. When a position or class of positions is reclassified to a higher classification, the employee will be placed in the appropriate classification for that position, except that in no case shall a person assigned to a new position of a higher classification receive less than 5% increase in salary as a result of receiving a new assignment. RECLASSIFICATION PROCESS Employee requests for reclassification shall be considered in accordance with the following procedures.
Salary Placement. In instances where an individual principal is agreeable to an initial step placement other than the first step of the salary schedule, such exceptions may be made by mutual agreement between the principal and a representative of the Human Resources Department. The Minneapolis Principals’ Forum shall be notified of all such agreements.
