Examples of Prep Time in a sentence
Prep Time: Time shall be allotted during the teacher day for class, or lesson preparation.
Prep Time would include lesson planning, meeting with students or parents/guardians, grading, schoolwork, making phone calls to parents, maintaining student records, ordering supplies and other activities related to teaching.
High School Prep Time Certificated employees directly involved in classroom instruction in Grades 9 -12 shall receive one (1) class period per day for preparation time.
Teachers who cover for this purpose will be reimbursed at the Prep Time Coverage and/or Loss of Prep Time rate of pay (See Section D).

IDOE recommends that educators are mindful when presenting content to students or parents/guardians that may be viewed as test prep materials (e.g., ILEARN Prep Time) since the assessment aligns to the depth and breadth of Indiana’s Academic Standards.
