Member Agency definition

Member Agency means a voting and dues paying municipal or other government entity located within Kitsap County which is a party to this Agreement.

Member Agency means each public agency which is a member of Alameda CTC pursuant to the JPA.

Member Agency or “Member” means any public agency which is a signatory and party to this Agreement.

Examples of Member Agency in a sentence

• Funds of the Agency may be used to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Agency, each Member Agency, each Director, and any officers, agents and employees of the Agency for their actions taken within the course and scope of their duties while acting on behalf of the Agency.

• Upon completion of mediation, if the controversy has not been resolved, any Member Agency may exercise all rights to bring a legal action relating to the controversy or (except where such controversy relates to withdrawal of a Member Agency’s obligations upon withdrawal) withdraw from membership as otherwise authorized pursuant to this Agreement.

• Each of the Member Agencies is a local agency, as defined by the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act of 2014 (“SGMA”), duly organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of California, and each Member Agency can exercise powers related to groundwater management.

• Each Member Agency has in common the power to study, plan, develop, finance, acquire, construct, maintain, repair, manage, operate, control, and govern the water supply and water management within the Basin, either alone or in cooperation with other public or private non- member entities, and each is a local agency eligible to serve as a GSA within the Basin, either alone or jointly through a joint powers agreement as provided for by SGMA.

• Each Member Agency may have one Alternate to act as a substitute Director for either of the Member Agency’s Directors.

More Definitions of Member Agency

Member Agency means each of the original signatories to this Agreement and any Local Agency, which hereafter becomes a signatory to this Agreement pursuant to Section 6.12.

Member Agency means a party to the JPA. Current member agencies are the County of Alameda, the Cities of Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Union City, and the Castro Valley and Oro Loma Sanitary Districts. The service areas for the purpose of Section 98 of this Ordinance are:

Member Agency or “Member Agencies” shall mean the local and/or regional public agencies regulated under the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. § 1251 et seq., the federal Safe Drinking Water Act, 42 U.S.C. § 300f et seq., and/or the state Safe Drinking Water Act, Health & Safety Code § 116275 et seq., that operate within or have jurisdiction over any area within the North Bay Region, and that are signatories to this MOU. Member Agencies are entitled to one voting member on the Board of Directors and Technical Advisory Committee as defined herein.
